There are many serious charges against the Board that are worse than the recent case involving the TRC, where former Civil Servant Lalith Weeratunga was jailed for three years. The reflecting exercise of Rs 2.3 Billion and frauds in award of tenders have been swept under the carpet by Ajith Dias and Suren Rathwatte. The board had failed to follow proper tender procedures according to the investigation officers.

The investigations are nearing completion. Certain officials in the current Airline who have been protecting the former Board for over two years will get highlighted. Haphazard recruitment had caused a loss of over $120 million to the Airline according to staffers of the Airline. The current Board is far worse than the previous Board according to senior pilots with no experience what so ever to run an airline.
