After the PM arrived in Singapore, she has telephoned him several times and asked for a meeting. She also requested him to mediate and get her son-in-law Arjun Aloysius released.
Meanwhile, government sources say Aloysius will get bail not later than next Friday. His lawyers are due to submit a bail application to court on that day.
Mahendran is in Brussels
Reliable sources say Mahendran is presently in Brussels, Belgium. A citizen of Singapore, he left for Brussels recently.
He is delaying responding to court summons for him to appear before the CID to give a statement. He is likely to make an appearance once his son-in-law gets bail, reports say.
