DMTB Dissanayake, the Chairman of the Wariyapola Pradeshiya Sabha, which is controlled by the Sri Lanka People’s Front, has been removed from his post.
The Governor of the North-Western Province, former Navy Commander Wasantha Karannagoda has issued a special gazette notification removing the Chairman from his post.
The budget presented by the Chairman for the year 2022 for the Wariyapola Pradeshiya Sabha had been defeated twice.
