New Board of Directors appointed to the Foreign Employment Bureau

Minister of Foreign Employment Manusha Nanayakkara two days (03) ago handed over the appointment letters to the new Board of Directors of the Foreign Employment Bureau.

Accordingly, appointment letters were issued to seven members of the Bureau Board, three of whom are professionals and four from the field of foreign employment.

Mohammed Hilmi was appointed as a Member of the Board and the Deputy Chairperson of the Bureau, having previously served as Chairman of it. Hilmi, who served as a Director of the Institute of Information and Communication Technology, is also a Director of Abdul Aziz Brothers.

Jeff Gunawardena was appointed as a Member of the Board and is a business professional with experience in the diplomatic level. He previously served as the Sri Lankan Consular General to Venezuela and Columbia of the United States and as a Director of the Airport and Aviation Company.

Senior Counsel Sandun Gamage was appointed as a Member of the Board and is a legal professional graduated from the University of Colombo and with 26 years of experience. He served as a Director of the Sri Lanka Public Utilities Commission of the Sri Lanka Merchant Bank.

Representing the Foreign Employment sector, Hemantha Sapumohotti, A.L.A. Hassam, Mohammed Fazli and Mohammed Arshad were also appointed as Members of the Foreign Employment Bureau.
