Meeting between Opposition Leader and UAE Ambassador

Leader of the Opposition Sajith Premadasa met with United Arab Emirates Ambassador to Sri Lanka Khalid Nasser Al Ameri at the Embassy today (05).

The two parties discussed many bilaterally important matters and a special focus was paid to the fuel crisis facing Sri Lanka.

Opposition Leader Premadasa recalled that the UAE is one Sri Lanka’s largest trading partners in the Middle East region and that the strong relationship between the two countries exists for more than four decades.

Ambassador Al Ameri assured the Opposition Leader that he will provide his support for the development of Sri Lanka through a proper, strong and transparent programme.
