Gas shipment further dragged in?

Date:

The ship carrying liquid petroleum to Sri Lanka would be further delayed, said LITRO.

The ship carrying 3,724 metric tonnes of LP gas was expected to arrive in the island on July 6 – 8.

However, the arrival would be delayed due to weather conditions, expecting it to arrive on July 09, the state-run gas distributor announced.

The shipment was promised to Sri Lanka as per the agreement between the state-run gas company and the World Bank. 100,000 metric tonnes of gas are expected to arrive in separate shipments.

According to LITRO Chief Muditha Peiris, another shipment is expected to arrive in the island between July 11 and 12.
