Damage caused to Galleface due to ‘Aragalaya’ amounts to Rs. 5 mn

The damage caused to the Galleface premises due to the ‘GotaGoGama’ protest which was held near the Galleface Stadium has been estimated to be a deprivation up to about Rs. 4.9 million, disclosed the Urban Development Authority.

According to the assessment report formulated by the Urban Development Authority, Rs. 150,000 have to be expended for the fundamental works of land redevelopment and an amount of Rs. 4.8 million has to be spent for planting grass.

This assessment has been done according to the order of the Minister in Charge Mr. Prasnna Ranatunga and he has instructed the officers of the Urban Development Authority to take the necessary legal actions to regain the damaged from the protesters.
