The 37th Annual General Meeting (AGM) of the Colombo Branch of the Matale St. Thomas’ College Old Boys’ Association (MOTA Colombo Branch) will be held on Saturday, 25 July 2026, at the COLTS Cricket Club, Park Road, Colombo 05.

The Colombo Branch is the official alumni body representing Old Thomians residing and working in Colombo and the Greater Colombo region. Bringing together members from a wide range of professions and industries, the Association provides an invaluable platform for fellowship, networking and lifelong friendship while strengthening the Thomian spirit and preserving close ties with their alma mater despite the demands of modern professional life.

Although the Association celebrates its 39th year since its establishment, the Annual General Meetings scheduled for 2020 and 2021 could not be held due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Consequently, this year’s gathering will be convened as the 37th Annual General Meeting.

During the past 39 years, the Association has been led by 16 Presidents, supported by dedicated Secretaries, Treasurers, Executive Committees and numerous volunteers. Through their collective commitment and service, the Colombo Branch has proudly upheld the Gold and Double Blue colours while making a significant contribution to the academic, sporting, cultural, social and welfare activities of Matale St. Thomas’ College.

The Association also provides an excellent opportunity for Old Thomians to reconnect through a vibrant calendar of annual fellowship events, including Thomians’ Night, Thomians’ Padura, the Thomians’ Avurudu Festival, Thomians’ Karaoke, and the annual friendly cricket encounter with the Old Boys’ Association of Matale Government Science College.

The Executive Committee warmly invites all Old Thomians residing in Colombo and the surrounding areas to participate in the Annual General Meeting and continue strengthening the bonds of fellowship while supporting the continued growth and traditions of their alma mater.
