Sri Lanka Customs has already surpassed its revenue target for September, collecting Rs. 199.348 billion against the monthly target of Rs. 195.596 billion, well ahead of the end of the month.
According to the latest figures, Customs exceeded its September target by September 22, generating approximately Rs. 3.752 billion more than the amount set for the entire month.
The latest performance also places the department closer to achieving its overall revenue target for 2026.
Sri Lanka Customs has been assigned an annual revenue target of Rs. 2,206.995 billion for 2026. By September 22, the department had collected Rs. 2,058.033 billion, representing more than 93% of its full-year target.
Approximately Rs. 148.962 billion remains to be collected for Customs to reach its annual revenue target.
Sri Lanka Customs also recorded a strong performance in 2025, when it exceeded its annual revenue target and collected a total of Rs. 2,557.535 billion.
