Lanka IOC and Sinopec Raise Octane 95 Petrol Price

October 26, Colombo (LNW): Motorists in Sri Lanka will have to pay more for premium petrol following a Rs. 20 increase in the price of Octane 95 fuel by Lanka Indian Oil Corporation (Lanka IOC) and Sinopec.

The revised rate took effect at midnight on 25 October, pushing the price of a litre of Octane 95 petrol at both fuel retailers from Rs. 475 to Rs. 495.

The adjustment means drivers who rely on higher-octane fuel will face increased costs when refuelling, adding to the financial burden on vehicle owners. Both companies have aligned their prices for this fuel grade at Rs. 495 per litre following the latest revisions.
