Democrats have won control of the US House of Representatives after a string of victories in the midterm elections, flipping several key battlegrounds and significantly outperforming their 2024 presidential margins, according to NBC News.
The party also made inroads into Republican territory, winning districts that President Donald Trump carried by 10 points or more in 2024.
NBC News has projected overall control of the House while continuing to call individual races. Based on its Decision Desk analysis, Democrats are poised to win at least 255 seats. The Decision Desk’s House model estimates the final number of seats each party will win using past and current vote counts, and does not draw on any polling, including exit polls.
