In a shocking turn of events, two fatal shootings have rocked the communities of Hiddaruwa in Kosgoda and Niyandagala in Homagama. A 52-year-old man was shot dead in Hiddaruwa during the early hours of Wednesday (21) morning, while a 46-year-old man lost his life in Niyandagala.
According to the police, the incident in Hiddaruwa unfolded when an unidentified group entered the victim’s home on Tuesday (20) night and opened fire. The assailants swiftly fled the scene, leaving the 52-year-old man with severe gunshot wounds. He was immediately rushed to Homagama Hospital, but tragically succumbed to his injuries upon admission.
Similarly, in Niyandagala, the 46-year-old man fell victim to a fatal shooting. The circumstances surrounding this incident are yet to be disclosed by the authorities.
