‘Unidentified illness’ at Galle Prison: 02 inmates dead, 05 hospitalised

Colombo (LNW): Two inmates of the Galle Prison have reportedly died with five others being hospitalised due to what it was described as an ‘unidentified illness’ at the Prison, according to the Prison Spokesperson.

Investigations are currently underway to identify the nature of the infection, and as a safety precaution, face masks are being worn by all individuals inside the prison premises, he added.
