  1. National Medicine Regulatory Authority Head Professor S D Jayaratne admits inferior drugs had been imported and used at Govt hospitals: asserts the Govt would henceforth take advice from the US Food and Drug Administration in the importation and regulation of medicines: also says the NMRA is investigating the mystery deaths that had occurred in hospitals during the last few months.
