Saman Dissanayake assumes role as Acting Defence Secretary

January 23, Colombo (LNW): The Additional Secretary of the Ministry of Defence, Saman Dissanayake, has been designated as the Acting Defence Secretary, effective immediately and until the return of Defence Secretary (Rtd) General Kamal Gunaratne.

The Presidential Secretariat has clarified that this acting appointment is concurrent with Dissanayake’s regular responsibilities as the Additional Secretary (Civil Security and Development).
