Retd. Gen. Daya Ratnayake joins SJB

January 30, Colombo (LNW): Retired General Daya Ratnayake, the former Commander of the Sri Lanka Army, has officially joined the Samagi Jana Balavegaya (SJB).

General Ratnayake expressed his support for the opposition party during a meeting with Opposition Leader Sajith Premadasa on Monday (29).

In recognition of his expertise, the SJB appointed General Ratnayake as its Senior Advisor for State Policy, a role in which he will contribute to the party’s policy formulation.

General Ratnayake, who served as the 20th Commander of the Sri Lanka Army, brings a wealth of experience and leadership to his new position within the SJB.
