US Dollar further surges amid crisis. Sell price Rs. 380

Date:

Further depreciating the value of the Sri Lankan Rupee, the US Dollar value has surged, marking its sell price as Rs. 380 in several commercial banks around the country.

As of now, Sri Lanka’s dollar reserves have run out and about a week ago, former Finance Minister Sabry confessed that the country’s foreign liquidity reserves are below US$ 50 million, a value not even enough to pay for a fuel tanker.
