The very coming of Ranil Wickremesinghe feeds the needs of none other than the Rajapaksas, said Omalpe Sobhitha Thero, speaking to reporters after attending a press conference held with the Janatha Vimukthi Peramuna (JVP) at the Party Head Office today (12).
Accordingly, the coming of Wickremesinghe provides the protection for the Rajapaksas, the Thero emphasised.
Contributing, Leader of the JVP MP Anura Kumara Dissanayake pointed out that the Premiership of Sri Lanka being handed over to Wickremesinghe is not the change expected by the people of the country and that the citizens of Sri Lanka will not be approving of such royal conspiracies.
Both Rajapaksa and Wickremesinghe have to understand that the solution to the country’s problem is based on up to which extent is the people’s power being heard instead of such royal conspiracies, Dissanayake emphasised.
During the briefing, both sides the JVP and the Maha Sangha have agreed that the new government to be formed by President Rajapaksa is unacceptable and therefore, should be defeated in the interest of the people.
The JVP has also pointed out that a new mandate should be collected within a short period of time in view of ending the country’s instability.
