A rather interesting figure was present with Ranil Wickremesinghe, who was sworn in as the Prime Minister of Sri Lanka today (12), at the Gangarama Temple where he received the blessings of the Maha Sangha.
The figure, who goes by the name ‘Nihal’, is the Chairman of Synergy Distilleries, a company affiliated with former Minister Johnston Fernando. The distillery of Synergy Distilleries was set on fire and destroyed by the anti-government rioters recently.
It is believed that Nihal was present at the religious occasion due to the connection he, by speculation, has with Channa Wickremesinghe, Ranil’s brother.
Yet to be determined whether the old game of deals is to continue from Day 01 of Wickremesinghe’s coming, we are all eyes!
