The newly completed project, comprising 50 high-end rooms, was officially opened at a ceremony attended by Minister of Urban Development, Construction and Housing, Anura Karunathilaka, and Ministry Secretary, Ranjith Ariyaratne. Also present was Chairman of the Sri Lanka Tourism Authority, Buddhika Hewawasam, who participated in the event at the invitation of Waters Edge Chairman, Chathura Krishantha Perera.

The design of the complex prioritises aesthetics and comfort, with interiors curated to appeal to both domestic and international visitors. Of particular note is the inclusion of rooms specifically designed to accommodate guests with disabilities, reflecting an inclusive approach to tourism infrastructure.

Guests staying at the new facility will also enjoy seamless access to a range of on-site amenities. The culinary offerings include authentic Sri Lankan cuisine alongside Italian and Japanese dining options, ensuring a diverse gastronomic experience.
