Susil Premajayantha has been removed from the post of Minister of State with immediate effect. The Minister has been removed from office in accordance with the powers vested in President Gotabhaya Rajapaksa by the Constitution.
Susil Premajayantha served as the State Minister of Education Reforms, Open Universities, and Distance Education Promotion.
Premajayantha had recently criticized the government through the media.
