Dispute on Aeroflot creates no rift in diplomatic ties between SL and Russia : PM

The dispute on a Russian Aeroflot flight being kept in Sri Lanka via court order does not create a rift in the diplomatic relations between the two countries, Sri Lanka Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe told Russian authorities.

The matter was briefed to the Russian government via the Secretary to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

The Prime Minister pointed out that the dispute on the said flight is a private legal matter and the Justice Minister has been instructed to taken every measure to conclude the judicial proceedings as soon as possible.
