Cabinet Sub-Committee on Cost of Living appointed

A Cabinet Sub-Committee on Cost of Living has been appointed under the chairmanship of President Gotabaya Rajapaksa.

The proposal to appoint such a sub-committee was tabled in the Cabinet by the President and has been approved by the Cabinet of Ministers.

The Cabinet Sub-Committee on Cost of Living is expected to provide policies and practical solutions to stabilise the cost of living of the country.

Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe
Minister of Fisheries
Minister of Transport and Highways
Minister of Agriculture
Minister of Plantation Industries
Minister of Power and Energy
Minister of Trade, Commerce and Food Security

Meanwhile, the Cabinet approved the appointment of a Food Security Committee headed by the Minister of Trade, Commerce and Food Security to support the work of the Cabinet Sub-Committee on Cost of Living.
