Hirunika Premachandra arrested

Hirunika Premachandra, a former Member of Parliament, who was protesting near the President’s Residence in Colombo Fort, has been arrested.

A group including the former MP had been protesting since this morning and the security forces had tried to remove them from the place.

It is reported that they were arrested by the police when they tried to go towards the President’s Residence refusing to leave the place.
