LITRO Chief hints about gas price drop this week

Date:

The price of LP gas is expected to drop by more than the last time when the LITRO Gas price had increased and such a price revision will definitely be taken place on August 05, said Chairman of LITRO Gas Muditha Peiris, speaking to a special briefing yesterday (01).

“Like we said 20 days ago, more than 22 lakh domestic gas cylinders have been released to the market. So far, we have reduced the gas queues and congestion by 100 per cent. To denote something special, according to the gas prices in the global market, we definitely hope to slash the gas price by August 05. We can confirm that too. That would be a positive thing for the people. I do not wish to reveal the exact price to be reduced in Rupees right now. But let me give you a hint, we will be reducing the price by more than the amount we have increased recently. We have increased it by Rs. 50 the day before yesterday, but we will definitely reduce it by more than that. Usually, we are expecting to reduce the price by much more than that,” Peiris said.
