A member of the Kotikawatta – Mulleriyawa local council has been killed in a shooting that took place yesterday (02) afternoon.
Sumudu Rukshan, a member of the Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna of the Kotikawatta-Mulleriya local council, has died.
He was shot with a pistol by two unknown persons who came on a motorcycle while he was staying at the Mulleriyawa Bank Junction area yesterday evening.
The reason for the shooting has not yet been revealed and the police are investigating.
