Energy Minister Kanchana Wijesekara says that the payment was made yesterday (02) for a diesel ship that has arrived in Sri Lanka and the unloading of the cargo will begin today (03).
Also, Ceylon Petroleum Corporation has entered into a one-year agreement for the purchase of jet fuel and the first shipment of jet fuel will be delivered to Sri Lanka between August 12-14, he said.
In addition to this, he has also stated that advance payment has been made for another diesel ship and a petrol ship.
