Minister of State Lasantha Alagiyawanna says they are ready to leave the government at any time if the Central Committee of the Sri Lanka Freedom Party takes a decision.
“We have always been in the SLFP. The SLFP is not just the 14 members of parliament. It has an executive council and a central committee. Accordingly, we will abide by any decision taken by the Central Committee. So that is what I presented to the Central Committee three months ago. But we will not go to SJB, we will not go with Sajith Premadasa and we will not go to Pohottuwa. We are definitely in the SLFP.
But now, unfortunately, we are being blamed by the JVP as well as from Fonseka and today from the Pohottuwa. Anyone can blame us, but we do not care about any of those criticisms and they do not apply to us. Our party has a different opinion and position ”
Minister of State Lasantha Alagiyawanna stated this while expressing his views to the media yesterday (10).
