Govt responds to allegation on importing poisoned rice

The report on poisoned rice being imported to Sri Lanka published on two weekend newspapers is completely false, said the acting Pesticides Registrar.

Accordingly, the Secretary to the Ministry of Trade, Commercial and Food Security has also lodged a complaint with the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) in this regard.
