Government officials prohibited from posting on Facebook?

A circular has been issued to government officials regarding expressing opinions through social media.

It is stated in the relevant circular that it is an offense for a government official to comment on social media without following the provisions of the Institutional Code as stated in Section 03 of State Administration Circular 04/2015.

This circular has been issued by the Secretary of the Ministry of Public Administration, Home Affairs, Provincial Councils and Local Government, M.M.P.K. Mayadunne.
