The daily business operations of the Colombo Stock Exchange (CSE) today (03) concluded earlier, at 12.04 pm noon, mainly due to the dropping at S&P SL20 index by over 05 per cent.
Business operations at the CSE are automatically ceased for a period of 30 minutes when the S&P SL20 price index falls by more than 05 per cent.
Generally, the daily business operations at the CSE close at 12.30 pm noon and today the operations had to be concluded early given that there was not enough time to resume them in 30 minutes after the unexpected dropping at 12.04 pm.
