MPs who previously chaired CoPE, CoPA dropped from new settings!

Date:

Following Speaker Abeywardena’s announcement of new members of the Parliamentary Committee on Public Enterprises (CoPE) and the Parliamentary Committee on Public Accounts (CoPA) this (03) morning, observers began to notice that two MPs who previously chaired the two committees are missing from the list.

Accordingly, MP Prof. Charitha Herath, who previously chaired the CoPE, was dropped from the new setting, but was added as a member of the CoPA. MP Prof. Tissa Vitharana, who previously chaired the CoPA, was dropped from both.
