The Cabinet has granted the approval to revise tariff rates on RoofTop Solar power systems, revealed Power and Energy Minister Kanchana Wijesekara.
The Minister wrote on his official twitter handle today (25) that two tier current tariff rate of Rs. 22 and Rs. 15.50 will be revised to a flat rate of Rs. 37 for less than 500 kilowatts and Rs. 34 for above 500 kilowatts RoofTop Solar for twenty years.
These tariffs will be adjusted annually based on a formula, he added.
