Wheat flour price drops. Bread price remains unchanged

Date:

The price of a kilogram of wheat flour has dropped to Rs. 250 as effective from October 28, mainly due to the government’s approval on importation of wheat flour under the open account system until December 31 this year, reveled Spokesman for the Essential Commodity Importers Association Nihal Seneviratne.

Accordingly, the price of wheat flour can be maintained at the threshold of Rs. 250 per kilo until the end of the upcoming festive season, he added, urging all bakery owners to convey its benefit to the customers accordingly.

However, the prices of bakery products remain unchanged to date.
