Covid: 160 more omicron infectees found

160 more persons infected with the omicron variant of Covid-19 have been identified, confirmed the Institute of Allergy, Immunology and Cell Biology, University of Sri Jayewardenepura.

These cases have been identified among 182 samples tested.

It was noteworthy that most of these samples were collected from passengers arriving at the Katunayake International Airport to travel abroad.

The report revealing these cases will be handed over to the Director General of Health Services today (15).

Accordingly, the number of omicron infectees discovered in Sri Lanka has climbed up to 208.
