President Ranil meets UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres

President Ranil Wickremesinghe, who is in Cairo, Egypt to participate in the United Nations Climate Change Conference (COP 27), met United Nations Secretary General Antonio Guterres yesterday (06).

President Ranil Wickremesinghe briefed the UN Secretary General on the plans taken by the Government of Sri Lanka regarding the National Environmental Policy.

Antonio Gutierrez recalled his first visit to Sri Lanka in 1978.

Minister of Environment Naseer Ahmed, Senior Adviser to the President on Environment Ruwan Wijewardene, Director of Presidential International Affairs Dinook Colomboge and Private Secretary to the President Sandra Perera also participated in it.
