Today (23), Speaker Mahinda Yapa Abeywardena removed Samagi Jana Balawegaya Member of Parliament Chaminda Wijesiri from the House.
This is due to the attempt to attack Nimal Lanza, the independent member sitting in the opposition, during a heated debate in the assembly regarding the holding of the local government elections today.
