Court order banning taxing Judges extended

Colombo (LNW): The Appeal Court today (09) extended the order barring the judges from being charged the ‘paye’ tax till March 16.

The order was extended as the relevant petitions by the Sri Lanka Judicial Officers’ Association and the Sri Lanka High Court Judges’ Association were taken up today.

The order was made by the Appeal Court Bench chaired by Justice Nissanka Bandula Karunaratne and comprising Justice A. Marikkar.
