Colombo (LNW): The recommendation by President Ranil Wickremesinghe for a three-month service extension for the current Inspector General of Police (IGP), C.D. Wickramaratne, has been approved by the Constitutional Council.
The approval was granted when the Constitutional Council was convened at the Speaker’s Official Residence under the patronage of Speaker Mahinda Yapa Abeywardena yesterday (01).
