Catholic Church marches demanding justice over Easter Sunday Massacre

Colombo (LNW): The Catholic Church has launched a march to mark four years since the Easter Sunday attacks, a genocide that took away more than 270 lives in April 2019.

The Archdiocese of Colombo said the march will commence frim Katuwapitiya Church today (20) at 9 am, and is due to arrive at the St. Anthony’s Shrine in Kochchikade in the morning of tomorrow (21), which marks four years since the attack.

Justice has not yet been served for the victims of the Easter attacks, the Church said.

Media Director for the Archdiocese Rev.Fr. Jude Krishantha said several special masses and silent protests will also be held to mark the four years since the carnage.
