Maximum retail price for drinking water bottles lifted

The gazette declaring the maximum retail price for drinking water bottles has been revoked via an extraordinary gazette issued by the Consumer Affairs Authority (CAA).

Drinking water bottles were subject to a maximum retail price of Rs. 26 per 350 – 499 ml bottle and Rs. 50 per 1 – 1.5 litre bottle.

The gazette declaring the maximum retail price for drinking water bottles was issued on September 28, 2018.
