Minister Ali Sabri’s speech could cause problems for Sri Lanka at Geneva conference – GMOA

Date:

The Executive Committee of the Government Medical Officers’ Association (GMOA) says that Sri Lanka could be discredited at the Human Rights Council in Geneva by the statement made by the Minister of Justice, Mohamed Ali Sabri, that the right of the trade unions and the GMOA to strike should be banned by the constitution.

“We have to work in accordance with the world’s accepted ethics, laws, and regulations. I think the Minister of Justice of this country will act more responsibly. I think institutions like the Geneva conference and human rights organizations have already been informed about this. Through this, our country will be discredited ”

Dr. Prasad Colombage stated this addressing a media briefing held by the Government Medical Officers’ Association yesterday (01).
