Update: Death toll rises in Manampitiya fatal bus accident

Colombo (LNW): The passenger bus that toppled at Kotaleeya Bridge in Manampitiya area yesterday was recovered this (10) morning and the death toll in the accident may likely to rise, sources said.

A search operation jointly conducted by the Navy, the Army and the Police Special Task Force (STF) has been launched to find out if there are more bodies, Police said.

As of now, there are 11 confirmed deaths from the accident and 41 injured.
