Billionaire Gautam Adani Explores Green Hydrogen Venture in Sri Lanka

Renowned billionaire Gautam Adani has expressed his interest in establishing a green hydrogen plant in Sri Lanka, adding another ambitious project to his conglomerate’s growing portfolio in the country. During a meeting with Sri Lankan President Ranil Wickremesinghe, Adani discussed the progress of existing ventures, such as the development of a container terminal at Colombo Port West and a significant 500 MW wind project, while also proposing the new green hydrogen initiative.

Taking to Twitter, Gautam Adani expressed his gratitude for the opportunity to meet with President Wickremesinghe and revealed his company’s enthusiasm for engaging in the captivating range of projects in Sri Lanka. The proposed green hydrogen plant would allow Adani’s conglomerate to extend its expertise in renewable energy and contribute to the production of environmentally-friendly hydrogen in the region.
