No-confidence motion against Health Minister defeated in Parliament

Colombo (LNW): The vote on the no-confidence motion against Health Minister Keheliya Rambukwella has been defeated in Parliament this (08) evening, after concluding a three-day debate.

Accordingly, the no-confidence motion against the Health Minister was rejected by a majority of 40 votes.

A total of 113 MPs voted against the motion tabled in by the Opposition and only 73 voted in favour, making it possible for Rambukwella to further serve in his tenure as the Minister of Health.
