Mayor of Hambantota resigns

Mayor of Hambantota Municipal Council Eraj Ravindra Fernando has reportedly resigned from his position. His resignation has been announced at the Council Meeting held today (10).

Reports claimed that Fernando has been nominated for the post of Chairman of the Ceylon Salt Corporation.

Accordingly, chances are high that he is appointed as the new Chairman of the Salt Corporation.
