Showery conditions expected in South-western part of the country

Showery condition in the South-western part of the country is expected to be enhanced up to some extent in today and next few days.

Showers or thundershowers will occur at times in Western, Sabaragamuwa, Southern and North-western provinces and in Kandy and Nuwara-Eliya districts. Heavy showers about 100mm can be expected at some places in Western and Sabaragamuwa provinces and in Galle and Matara districts.Showers or thundershowers will occur at several places in Uva and Eastern provinces during the evening or night.General public is kindly requested to take adequate precautions to minimize damages caused by temporary localized strong winds and lightning during thundershowers.
