IMF Director Board to take special decisions on SL: Ranil

The Director Board of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) is set take several special decisions about Sri Lanka, disclosed Leader of the United National Party former Prime Minister MP Ranil Wickremesinghe, addressing a discussion held with a group of civil activists at his residence yesterday (14).

Following the Director Board meeting, the UNP Leader has prepared himself to make a special statement on the steps that can be taken nationally and internationally to overcome the ongoing economic crisis in Sri Lanka.

In preparation for his statement, Wickremesinghe has been holding discussions with a number of economic experts in recent days and gathering facts.

Following his statement, the former Prime Minister is also preparing to make a strong intervention to find solutions to the economic crisis and is set to meet with powerful ruling party and opposition politicians, hence leading businessmen. These talks intend to establish a basic framework for building the country.
