Unions stage protest demanding relief from 2024 Budget! (PHOTOS)

Colombo (LNW): The Union of State and Public Service Unions today (13) staged a protest near the Battaramulla Diyatha Roundabout, urging relief measures from the 2024 Budget.

The demonstrators called for a minimum allowance of Rs. 20,000 or a salary increase, alongside the reinstatement of the full pension system, which has been absent since 2016.

Notably, the protest proceeded without any police intervention.
