Kelanitissa Power Plant inactive – 163 MW lost

The operations at the Kelanitissa Power Plant have become inactive against amidst the absence of fuel, revealed the Ceylon Electricity Board (CEB).

The ceasing of operations at the Plant has lost 163 megawatts to the national grid.

The Plant uses naphtha to generate power and has run out of fuel stocks.
